A Forest Fairy uses art to capture the love behind beautiful scenes and memories. Most of my original works are inspired by nature, but I am equally as inspired by the memories people share with me through their favorite photographs. 

I am currently accepting commission requests! I will have limited availability for commissions that will be completed before the winter holidays, so if you want one as a present for a loved one (or yourself!) go ahead and reach out! 

I can do commissions in several different types of media:

• Acrylic paintings, offered on canvas panel or 3/4" stretched canvas
• Drawings offered in pencil or pen and in varying levels of detail, including line drawings, line drawings with cross-hatched shading and up to one color pen, and more realistic drawings- check out examples in the gallery under drawings!
• Digital media, offered as line drawings in up to three total colors or as digital paintings for a more realistic feel.
• Photography sessions for one hour with a professional camera in the Highlands, NC area. You will receive all the raw photos (no editing), and you have the option to purchase a commissioned painting of any one photo at a 25% discount!

I also do commissions of all different subject matter! Please look through the gallery to determine which medium you think would suit your subject matter the best. 

Commissioned pieces always make fantastic presents! So much thought and love goes into getting a commissioned piece for a loved one, and your options are endless! I know that makes it seem like an intimidating choice, so here are some ideas to get you started:

• A portrait of their beloved pet
• A landscape painting of a place you love to go together
• A painting of a sunset you watched together
• Their favorite flower, animal, or bug
• Their favorite movie or TV show character with a personalized pose or background
• Items relating to their hobby

And if you need more ideas, please don't hesitate to reach out, and we can brainstorm together! No matter what you decide, I know your loved one will treasure whatever we create for them!

The cost of your commission will vary depending on the complexity of the subject matter, the medium and level of detail you choose, and the size of the piece. Please contact me with details about your project to receive a quote for your specific piece!

For example, an acrylic painting with one subject and a minimally detailed background (1-2 colors) would be priced based on size:

• 3-5" wood round for $90 (these make great ornaments!)
• 5x7" for $120
• 8x10" for $160
• 9x12" for $200 (canvas panel only)
• 11x14" for $250
• 12x16" for $300 (3/4" stretched canvas only)
• 16x20" for $350 (3/4" stretched canvas only)

I use professional quality canvas panels and stretched canvas, so you will not be compromising on quality either way.

A canvas panel is a piece of canvas adhered to a rigid board. Canvas panels are thin and tend to look best framed, which is a great option if you think a frame would help the piece fit into your decor better. You want to frame these pieces without glass to showcase the texture.

A 3/4" stretched canvas is a canvas stretched over a wooden frame with 3/4" thick edges that can also be painted. Unless you request otherwise, I will always provide gallery wrapped edges, which just means that the edges will be painted to fit the aesthetic of the painting so that they are presentable; with this option you don't have to worry about a frame at all!
